Terms of Use

1. General provisions

These Terms of Use govern the use of CS2 Team Finder.

CS2 Team Finder is a web platform and related features, including a Telegram bot and Telegram Mini App, intended for finding teammates, teams, players, practice opponents, and other forms of interaction among Counter-Strike 2 users.

Depending on the availability of individual features, the service may provide player profiles, search and recommendations, teams and vacancies, applications and invitations, praccs, a calendar, tasks, strategies, reviews, messages, notifications, coach profiles, and other tools for organizing play together.

By using the service and accepting these Terms during registration or by confirming a new version again, the user agrees to comply with them.

2. Status of the service

CS2 Team Finder is an independent project and is not part of Valve, Steam, FACEIT, Leetify, Telegram, VK, Yandex, Counter-Strike, or any companies or products associated with them.

Trademarks and names of games, platforms, and third-party services belong to their respective owners.

The availability of CS2 Team Finder features may depend on third-party services, integration settings, and the current platform configuration.

3. Registration and account

To use certain features, the user creates an account or signs in using an available authentication method.

Depending on the current configuration, the following may be used:

• email and password;

• Telegram;

• Steam;

• VK ID;

• Yandex ID;

• other methods explicitly offered in the interface.

The existence of a technical integration does not mean that the corresponding registration or sign-in method is available to users at all times.

During registration, the user separately confirms the documents and consents required to create an account.

Consent to receive optional informational or marketing emails is given separately and is not required to use the core features of the service.

The user must use accounts that belong to them and must not impersonate another person or player.

The user is responsible for safeguarding the means of access to their account.

If the user suspects unauthorized access, they should report it to hello@cs2teamfinder.ru.

4. Profiles and user content

The user may create a player profile and include information needed to find and interact with other users.

Such information may include a nickname, age or age range, country or region, languages, in-game roles, maps, skill level, gaming goals, schedule, description, gaming accounts, links, and other data provided for in the interface.

Additional profiles may be available for certain roles, such as a coach profile with a description of experience, specializations, a photo, links, and other professional information.

Depending on visibility settings and the specific feature, some information may be available to other users.

The user must not publish other people’s personal data without the necessary rights or consents, unlawful content, threats, fraudulent materials, malicious links, or materials that infringe third-party rights.

5. Steam, FACEIT, Leetify, and other gaming services

The user may connect gaming accounts or identifiers to CS2 Team Finder.

The service may obtain available gaming information directly from the user or through APIs and other technical means provided by Steam, FACEIT, Leetify, and other supported sources.

The data available and the ability to obtain it depend on the third-party service, its API, the user’s privacy settings, and the current CS2 Team Finder configuration.

CS2 Team Finder is not responsible for changes, restrictions, blocking, or discontinuation of third-party gaming services.

6. External authentication

When using Telegram, Steam, VK ID, Yandex ID, or another external authentication method, the user also interacts with the relevant provider.

CS2 Team Finder does not receive the user’s VK ID, Yandex ID, or other OAuth provider password when authentication uses the provider’s standard external process.

Deleting a CS2 Team Finder account does not delete the user’s accounts with third-party services.

The external provider’s own terms govern its processing of data.

7. Search, recommendations, and teams

CS2 Team Finder may use profile information, search filters, gaming statistics, schedules, goals, and other parameters to find players, teams, vacancies, coaches, or practice opponents.

Certain ratings and compatibility indicators may be calculated automatically according to defined rules.

Such calculations are an aid and do not guarantee user compatibility, quality of play, a match result, or another user’s behavior.

The user decides independently whom to interact or play with, or form a team with.

8. Team features and shared content

If the relevant features are available, team members may create and view vacancies, applications, invitations, schedules, calendar events, tasks, strategies, notes, materials, praccs, and other team content.

Access to such content is determined by the user’s role and permissions enforced by the service backend.

Some materials are created jointly by several users. After a member leaves a team or deletes their account, some team content may continue to exist if other members need it for team operations, interaction history, security, or dispute resolution.

9. Messages, notifications, and integrations

Where the relevant feature is available, users may exchange messages.

The service may store message text, sending time, read status, and other technical information needed for chat to work.

Users may be able to block a correspondent and submit a complaint.

The service may send service notifications through the interface, Telegram, email, or other connected channels.

Service messages needed for security, authentication, account operation, or actions initiated by the user are distinct from optional marketing mailings.

A team may be able to configure an external webhook itself. In that case, data from a particular notification may be sent to the address specified by the user managing the team.

The user who configures a third-party webhook is responsible for having lawful grounds to use the chosen external service and provide it with the relevant information.

10. Moderation

CS2 Team Finder may review complaints, moderate user content, and take measures to keep the platform safe.

Depending on the nature of a violation, the service may restrict certain features, hide content, change its visibility, or restrict or block an account.

Some actions may be taken without prior notice if necessary to prevent abuse, ensure user safety, or protect infrastructure.

11. Prohibited use

The service must not be used to break the law, commit fraud, obtain unauthorized access, bypass technical restrictions, distribute malware, or infringe the rights of other users or third parties.

Without prior permission, automated data collection is prohibited if it can create a substantial load, bypass service restrictions, or misuse users’ personal data.

12. Project support and transfer of value

Methods of supporting the project may be available through the service.

Depending on the current configuration, these may include Telegram Stars, the transfer of in-game items, a link to an external service for a money transfer, or another method explicitly indicated in the interface.

The availability of a particular method depends on technical settings and the relevant third-party provider.

Unless expressly stated otherwise before the transaction, such a transaction is not an automatically renewing subscription and does not involve recurring charges.

Before confirming a transaction, the user should review its parameters and the rules of the third-party service through which it is carried out.

If project support is accompanied by a status, badge, or other element in CS2 Team Finder, the specific content of that element is determined by the service interface and does not grant ownership rights in the service or software.

Rules for cancellation, refund, or dispute of a transaction depend on the particular support method, applicable law, and the rules of the relevant payment or external service.

13. Intellectual property

The software code, design, interface, text, brand elements, and other CS2 Team Finder materials belong to their respective rights holders or are used on a lawful basis.

Users retain the rights to their own materials.

By posting user content, the user grants CS2 Team Finder the right to technically process, store, reproduce, and display it to the extent necessary for the chosen features, search, user interaction, moderation, security, and support.

14. Account deletion and recovery

The user may initiate account deletion through the interface, if that feature is available, or contact hello@cs2teamfinder.ru.

After deletion has been initiated, the profile may be hidden from other users.

If the service provides a recovery period, the ability to recover the account and the remaining time are displayed or determined by the service settings.

After the recovery period ends, the account and related data are deleted according to the service’s technical procedures, except for information that must or may be retained to comply with the law, maintain security, review complaints, confirm transactions, protect the parties’ rights, or pursue other lawful purposes.

Some shared or transactional records may remain after the user’s account is deleted.

Deleting a CS2 Team Finder account does not delete user data held by Steam, Telegram, FACEIT, Leetify, VK ID, Yandex ID, or other independent external services.

15. Liability

The service is provided “as is”.

CS2 Team Finder does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, continuous availability of every feature or integration, compatibility between particular users, match results, or other users’ actions.

CS2 Team Finder does not control users’ actions outside the service or the operation of third-party platforms.

16. Changes to the Terms

CS2 Team Finder may update these Terms.

A new version is published with its version number and effective date.

If the nature of the changes requires renewed confirmation, the service may ask the user to accept the relevant version again through the interface before continuing to use certain features.
