Cookie and Browser Storage Technologies Policy

1. General provisions

CS2 Team Finder uses cookies and other browser storage technologies.

These include cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar technical means.

They are used to operate the web application, save settings, authenticate users, maintain security, and, where consent has been given, perform analytics.

2. Essential technologies

Essential browser storage technologies may be used for the basic operation of the service.

In particular, the application may store data in localStorage that is needed for authenticated use of the web application, the user’s cookie and analytics choices, language, and temporary technical parameters of certain authentication processes.

sessionStorage may temporarily hold data about a current user flow, such as the route to return to after sign-in.

Technical cookies may also be used depending on the particular feature and external provider.

Essential technologies are not used for advertising profiling merely because they are necessary for the application to work.

3. Analytics technologies

If the user has given the necessary consent and analytics is actually enabled, the website may connect Yandex Metrica.

It may use its own cookies and other identifiers and receive information about the device, browser, visited URLs, referral source, and user actions.

If Webvisor, clickmap, or similar features are enabled, interactions with website pages may be analyzed.

The service is also technically capable of connecting an additional product analytics tool if it is enabled in the current configuration.

Optional analytics must not load before the relevant permission has been given where such permission is required.

4. Marketing technologies

The interface may provide a separate category for marketing technologies.

Such technologies may be used only after the user makes the relevant choice.

The presence of this category in settings does not mean that CS2 Team Finder is using an advertising pixel or marketing tracker at any particular time.

5. External authentication

When selecting Steam, Telegram, VK ID, Yandex ID, or another external provider, the user may be redirected to that provider’s website or interface.

The external provider may use its own cookies and other technologies under its own rules.

CS2 Team Finder does not control data that a third-party service independently stores on its own domain.

6. Managing choices

The user may change their choice of optional categories through the website’s cookie settings.

The user may also delete cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage through browser controls.

Deleting essential browser storage data may sign the user out, reset settings, or require them to authenticate again.

Declining optional analytics should not deprive the user of the core features of the service.

7. Storage of choices

Information about choices concerning cookies and analytics may be stored in the user’s browser along with the settings version and time of the choice.

If the user clears browser storage or uses another device or browser, they may need to make the choice again.

A choice stored in the browser does not mean that every cookie-settings action is necessarily saved in a server-side database.

8. Changes

This Policy may be updated if the technologies or services used change.

If optional technologies change substantially, the service may ask the user to make the relevant choice again.
